E4 3D logo modelling

The first step i done when i modeled the E4 logo was create a plain so i could have the E4 picture on it to use as reference, this will allow me to model each component easier because i have a guide to help me.

how i created the textures for the logo

when going to the hyper shades in Maya to select a image first go to mental ray and select a a mia_x material to then go to the attributes and select what material we want so we can apply it to the objects.

In this picture this explains how i none it and where i went to do it

this is he same as the picture above it just shows the different material.

After doing that when it came to add shares to the camera so it would give it more detail the logo and cast better shadow

this is the example of the shared.
this is the final look of the martial that i have created for the logo

logo textures

After i modeled all the propels that  i need for the animation was time to add textures i opted to go for a chrome and copper effect and i found a great and easy way to do this.
this is just a scene shoot of the model with the textures not a render at all.

Smashing of the glass

This image after i used the tutorial that i found helping me to create the effect of a smashing glass i was testing it to see if the logo worked well when he would hit the glass.

3D modle of the logo

this is my logo after i finished animating it as i said before the logo is still the same design the only thing that  changed was the idea of the animation and the textures i am still looking for the right textures for this logo

New idea

After i created a idea was hard to come up with a brand new idea that the client would like because they really wanted the logo that i originally designed, they were happy to change the colors of it but  they still wanted the same design.

So after a few meeting and phone calls with both clients they come up with a few demands if i was gonna change it.

1. it had to have an impact
2. it would have to be characteristic
3. it had stand out.

so with that in mind the new idea came to me y not have the logo coming at the camera and smashing the camera glass that would create the impact that they were looking for.

So after pitching this new idea to them they also included instead of having the logo just shooting at the camera why not make it spin towards the camera like a coin coming from far straight  to the camera glass. and after the glass smashes use their slogan.

Both me and the client were happy with the new idea.
